I see a camera as an extension of the eye; something that allows us to see beyond the ordinary.
These processes feel the same. They turn a seemingly normal world into a warped pinhole dreamscape; a field into a painterly blue landscape; a dead leaf into veins flowing with color.
And collodion...excuse me while I go write a love poem.
"That's the thing about collodion; it has this sort of reverential, spiritual aspect to it. It's contemplative; it has a kind of gravitas to it. It's almost like some sort of Holy Communion." -Sally Mann
